Student Trust Officer considers controversial issues and conducts mediation in cases in which students are parties to the conflict.
The competences and scope of activities undertaken by the Student Trust Officer at the Warsaw University of Technology are specified in the Regulation No. 28/2022 of the WUT Rector, issued on April 5, 2022.
The Student Trust Officer provides assistance to the parties of the conflict:
- in mutual communication,
- in defining interests and issues for discussion,
- in reaching an agreement.
The Student Trust Officer is guided by the principles:
- confidentiality,
- impartiality,
- neutrality,
- voluntariness.
The powers of the Student Trust Officer concern:
- independence,
- calling witnesses,
- obtaining information in the organizational and administrative units of the Warsaw University of Technology.
Before a student reports a dispute to the Student Trust Officer, it is suggested to contact the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the relevant Faculty.
A student who is a party to the conflict may ask the University Trust Officer to appoint another Trust Officer (including the Student Trust Officer) to receive information and conduct mediation in a given case.
The activities of the Student Trust Officer are supervised by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs.
