Project Bekker

Project Bekker is the Warsaw University of Technology initiative to honor one of the greatest graduates in its history – professor Mieczysław Grzegorz Bekker – a Polish scientist who helped the mankind to conquer… the Moon.

In October 2022, the Senate of the Warsaw University of Technology passed a resolution to place a bust of Professor Mieczysław G. Bekker in the Main Building of WUT. In this way, he will join the ranks of outstanding alumni previously honored by the university.

To bring professor M.G. Bekker's figure closer to the public, the Project Bekker was created.
